The Communication/ Electronics Maintenance Shop is designed to consolidate the Regimental and Battalions operations, in support of the 1st Marines 1/1 Battalion, 2/1 Battalion, 3/1 Battalion, 4/1Battallion and Regiment H&S.

The 23,935 SF, single-story facility was the result of a singular cooperative effort between the design-build team and the Government. Our team incorporated changes to the original programming in accordance with the Conceptual Design Work performed in conjunction with NAVFAC and Command User representatives. Administrative spaces were reduced to meet the Users' storage requirements. The HQ Administration area in the building's core was reconfigured to fully meet the Users' needs.

The roof system is a pre-finished non-structural standing seam metal roof. The building height permits future expansion through the creation of a large attic or mezzanine level in the service bays and a second floor in the HQ Administration area. Our floor plan notes suggested locations for stairwells and a central elevator in the event of such expansion.
